Felice is just what Manhattan's Upper East Side needed -- an authentic Italian wine bar owned by the owner of Fattoria Sardi Giustiniani, a vineyard in Tuscany. Reminiscent of Tuscany, this gem shines brightly, just like the lit candles that decorate its tables. With rows of wine bottles lining the walls -- and light fixtures made of glass wine barrels lining the ceiling -- the Robert McKinley-designed space is absolutely inspiring. To experience it, enter through the cloth-draped atrium and pass through a deconstructed wine barrel -- a replica of the barrels used in owner Jacopo Giustiniani's winery for aging wine -- and make your way into a wine lover's paradise. For light bites, a full Italian dinner or simply a glass of wine, Felice is the place to be. Timid? Jacopo himself will be more than happy to guide you on a tour of his Italian wine selection, as his extensive experience as owner of Fattoria Sardi Giustiniani, a 47-acre vineyard in the heart of Tuscany, gives him more than enough knowledge with which to make a recommendation. And as for personality: You'll see for yourself how enthusiastic and friendly he is! He's just what the neighborhood needed. Quaint, cool, sophisticated and happening, this place has it all. although you'd swear it’s a trendy downtown wine bar, Felice's uptown location suggests otherwise -- and Upper East Siders are more than thankful for that!
