EDITOR'S NOTE: THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED
When one thinks of steak, the usual suspects come to mind, including Peter Luger, Smith and Wollensky and the Palm. These cavernous restaurants don't provide the romantic atmosphere that some guests desire, however, when they're savoring a succulent portion of filet mignon. For those people, New York's Upper East Side offers Hacienda de Argentina. Located in a small building off of First Avenue, among towering high-rise apartment buildings, this one once again proves that good things come in small packages. Indeed, once you step inside, you'll wonder, where is Eva Peron? It's that authentic. So authentic, in fact, that you'll be asking yourself what good fortune led you to dine in such a luxurious villa. It might take your eyes a few minutes to adjust, but it's worth it when you take in all the little details that went into creating this replica of an Argentine villa's dining room. With mouthwatering meat, beautiful candlelight, luxurious chairs and tables, and all the special touches, you simply can't go wrong.
